宅男福利社alumna, Shannon Chandler, has been named vice president for institutional advancement at the 宅男福利社.
California natives Steve and Gayle Campora had never heard of the 宅男福利社 or Livingston until their daughter Kayla landed a graduate assistant spot with UWA's women's basketball team a decade ago. Today, their generosity and involvement are woven into the fabric of the University.
Jason Green came to Livingston with a plan. He wanted to continue his education and earn a bachelor鈥檚 degree that would complement the associate鈥檚 degree he earned in funeral service education, and he did that. But he says that his experience at Livingston University (now the 宅男福利社) added more to his life and future than merely two years of higher education. Leaving with a degree under his belt, he says that what stands out to him most is what was under his feet.
A new scholarship endowment will honor a family legacy at the 宅男福利社, its namesake the parents of 宅男福利社President Ken Tucker. The Dr. Betty Jean and Howard Tucker Endowed Scholarship, endowed at $150,000, is a transformative gift that will provide perpetual support for students for many years to come.
Through a series of providential meetings, Mike Williams, Mayor of Butler, Alabama, and his sister, Patricia Williams Harris, recently partnered with the Alabama Nurses Foundation (ANF) and representatives John Beard, president of the board of trustees, and Dr. John Ziegler, executive director, to gift the 宅男福利社 Foundation a $50,000 endowment for the Joan Williams and Alabama Nurses Foundation Nursing Scholarship.
There鈥檚 a simple, if not noble, reason why Amelia Vazquez chose to study sociology and criminal justice at the 宅男福利社.
The 宅男福利社 Foundation has received notice of a $3 million planned gift that will support student success and academic enrichment. The planned gift from a donor who wishes to remain anonymous is one of the largest in the University鈥檚 history.
It鈥檚 understandable that Michele Graham Bradford unpacks memories of her late brother as if he were sitting beside her, smiling as she speaks. The recollections flow easily, sincere as the summer day is long. 鈥淗e meant the world to us,鈥 she said, 鈥渂ut every year we find out what he meant to other people, as well. He was just a great man.鈥
