For years, residents in rural Sumter and Greene counties in Alabama have faced slow or nonexistent internet connectivity. Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçis offering new hope to the region.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç (UWA) and Southern Regional Technical College (SRTC) have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to create a streamlined transfer pathway for students pursuing careers in environmental science and conservation.
Two new inductees, Justice Helen Shores Lee and former Secretary of State Agnes Baggett, will be honored at The Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame at a ceremony on March 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç’s Bridges Auditorium.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç and the National Alumni Association recognized the accomplishments of 12 outstanding alumni at its annual awards ceremony, held Jan. 30 in the Bell Conference Center on UWA's campus, in conjunction with with the Society of the Golden Key Induction Ceremony.
Three distinguished individuals, including a community college president, a member of the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçAthletic Hall of Fame, and a former dean and researcher, were inducted into the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç’s Society of the Golden Key during a ceremony at the Bell Conference Center, Thursday, Jan. 30.
