The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç and the National Alumni Association recognized the accomplishments of 12 outstanding alumni at its annual awards ceremony, held Jan. 30 in the Bell Conference Center on UWA's campus, in conjunction with with the Society of the Golden Key Induction Ceremony.
Three distinguished individuals, including a community college president, a member of the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçAthletic Hall of Fame, and a former dean and researcher, were inducted into the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç’s Society of the Golden Key during a ceremony at the Bell Conference Center, Thursday, Jan. 30.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç (UWA) recently awarded the Honorable Senator Gerald Dial an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters in recognition of his outstanding contributions to public service and his lasting impact on the state of Alabama.
When Lashontrei Henton’s son, Caleb, was diagnosed with autism, she began keeping a notebook close by to capture her thoughts, questions, and observations. The Office of Institutional Advancement at the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç has announced the addition of two new members on its development team: Chris Lucas, director of development, and Garrett Webb, development officer.
Jason Green came to Livingston with a plan. He wanted to continue his education and earn a bachelor’s degree that would complement the associate’s degree he earned in funeral service education, and he did that. But he says that his experience at Livingston University (now the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç) added more to his life and future than merely two years of higher education. Leaving with a degree under his belt, he says that what stands out to him most is what was under his feet.
