Up in DeKalb County, near Lake Guntersville and about an hour鈥檚 drive from Huntsville, is where Brandon Renfroe teaches science at Geraldine High School. By almost any metric, from demographics and geography to socioeconomics and politics, that region of northeast Alabama鈥檚 Appalachian foothills seems as far from Livingston and the Black Belt鈥檚 western counties as it can be.聽

Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame will move to 宅男福利社this year

Dr. Valerie Burnes鈥� goal isn鈥檛 merely to house the Alabama Women鈥檚 Hall of Fame and its plaques at the 宅男福利社. She envisions something ultimately grand that celebrates not only the enshrinees鈥� lives but also introduces the university to a wider audience.

Students pursuing a college degree at the 宅男福利社 will have a new opportunity to earn a scholarship through the generous support of Greenetrack, Inc. The scholarship is being established through an initial contribution of $10,000.
