At fall commencement exercises held in December, four students tied for the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç's top graduating student award. Grace Hall of Trussville, Alabama; Briana Hanks of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Coby Holmes of Collinsville, Mississippi; and Leah Stewart of Greensboro, Alabama, each were recognized for superior academic achievement.

The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç sets record enrollment in Fall 2025 with a 5% enrollment increase.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç is celebrating a historic milestone this fall, with increases throughout its enrollment numbers across undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as student residence occupancy and athletics.

The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç will commemorate the inauguration of President Todd G. Fritch with an investiture ceremony on Friday, Sept. 12 at 10 a.m. in Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçAuditorium. The ceremony will be followed by a reception in the courtyard of Bell Conference Center.
Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçearns special designation in Student Access and Earnings Carnegie Classification
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç has earned national recognition from the Carnegie Classification of Institutions of Higher Education in its Student Access and Earnings Classification, underscoring the university’s commitment to advancing students’ economic mobility, employment opportunities, and long-term career success.

The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç (UWA) Board of Trustees has selected Dr. Todd G. Fritch as the next president of the institution.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç was recently honored with the 2024 Achievement Award for Internal Information/Educational Programs from the Alabama Association of Colleges and Employers (AACE).
