The short-term, faculty-led Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçin Ireland program began in 2018 as a cost-effective way to broaden the university’s global reach and create a study-abroad option that featured neither language barriers nor exorbitant costs for students because of the compressed schedule, Riser said.

Campus dining options at the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç don’t normally include Samovar-brewed Russian teas, dalgona candies from Korea, French crepes or street-style Asian fusion delicacies.

The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç is partnering with an exchange program to bring two students from Germany to study at UWA. The program seeks families within a one hour driving distance of UWA’s campus in Livingston who wish to host a German student for the 2019-2020 school year. Anyone who is interested in serving as a host should sign up for the opportunity by June 28.
A group from the Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç explored the historic Fort Tombecbe recently to learn more about Sumter County’s French history. The tour was part of Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉçInternational Programs Year of France series. A picnic on the grounds and tour of the archaeological site was led by site director Dr. Ashley Dumas.
The Õ¬Äи£ÀûÉç’s International Programs will host its annual Chinese New Year Celebration on Tuesday, Feb. 5, in the Bell Conference Center on campus, beginning at 6 p.m.
